In addition to periodic go/no-go verification of a crimping tool and its accessories, it may be desirable to perform some dynamic testing by producing a series of representative crimp samples. These can be subjected to an electrical test to determine the electrical resistance at the crimp joint.
This is a non-destructive test and the same samples may then be used for the destructive tensile test to determine how the crimp joint performs under load.
CRIMPINFO will provide you with a quotation to test an individual sample, or multiple sets. This will be in accordance with your selected specification: proprietary, defence / military standard, British standard or Euro norm etc. Samples to be submitted for verification should consist of double ended crimp samples that should resemble the graphic below, leaving a gap as shown if both a voltage drop and a tensile test are required. The number of samples and test parameters are usually defined in your selected specification but if unsure please contact us.

Additional information that should accompany your samples is: Tool Part Number, Serial Number, Accessory (Turret Head / Die Set) and Tensile and/or Millivolt test required.
